Awareness Camp on PC & PNDT Act Held at DIET Dhemaji

An awareness camp on the PC & PNDT Act was organized today at DIET Dhemaji as part of the 10th Anniversary of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme. The event was conducted by the District Social Welfare Office, Dhemaji, in collaboration with DIET Dhemaji and SANKALP: Hub of Empowerment of Women, Dhemaji.The session educated student-teacher trainees on the PC & PNDT Act, its legal aspects, and the role of educators in preventing gender discrimination. Experts and officials highlighted the need for awareness to curb female feticide and promote gender equality.The program concluded with discussions and a pledge to support the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao mission, emphasizing education as a key tool for social change.
