    7-day workshop on the Item Development of Social Science for Item Bank

    A 7-day workshop on the Item Development of Social Science for Item Bank organized by DIET Dhemaji under the guidance of SCERT Assam commenced on 27th January 2025 and will continue until 7th February 2025. The event is being hosted to enhance the quality of item development and promote academic excellence in Social Science.

    The inaugural session was chaired by Mausumi Baruah Bordoloi, Principal, DIET, Dhemaji setting the tone for a productive workshop. She emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering better educational standards and preparing high-quality teaching and learning materials.

    The workshop features esteemed master trainers who bring their expertise and experience to guide the participants:
    Dr. Tanuj Tayeng, Dibyajyoti Gogoi and
    Jurishmita Shyam, Lecturers from DIET Dhemaji are acting as Resource Persons.

    Their sessions focus on innovative approaches to item development, aligning with SCERT’s vision for standardized assessments.

    The workshop witnessed active participation from educators teaching at ME and High Schools across three educational blocks of Dhemaji district. Teachers engaged in hands-on activities to develop well-structured and comprehensive questions for the Item Bank.


    The primary objective of this workshop is to create a robust Social Science Item Bank that supports teachers and enhances student assessments.

    This initiative by SCERT Assam and DIET Dhemaji is expected to significantly contribute to the academic development of the region, fostering better learning outcomes for students.
